ABOUT ELISABETH A fine art photographer who captures the human spirit Elisabeth Hughes has created professional portraits since 1989. A graduate of the Southeast Center for the Arts, she finds her greatest reward is making people look their best in fine art portraits. Leading photographers have complimented her gift for capturing the personality of an individual in a portrait. "Creating a portrait is not easy," says Elisabeth. "You really have to put your whole heart into it. You’re trying to bring out the essence of someone’s personality. So you really must concentrate on what you’re trying to create." Elisabeth and her family have been in the St. George Island area for 30 years. So she has a native’s understanding of the shore and how to capture the natural light of the day to illuminate an individual, couple or family.
